On the Linearization of the Ricatti’s equation via the Sundman Transformation

• Abstract

  In this paper, we show that in general the Ricatti’s equation is not linearizable using the Sundman transformation. We use a particular substitution to transform the equation into a linearizable second order non-linear form and then we determine completely the class of the Ricatti’s equation that are linearizable using this transformation (under the particular substitution).
