Abstract
This research analyzes the evolution of
financial literacy literature. Specifically, the study performs bibliometric
analysis to examine the descriptive, intellectual, and conceptual structure of
financial literacy research. This bibliometric analysis covers the period
between 1963 and 2021, and is based on 4 489 articles retrieved from two
databases: Web of Science and Scopus. The findings illustrate certain keywords
that emerged between the two periods, and reveal that financial literacy
research has not yet reached maturity.
